WCOL’s youngest artist to perform at this year’s Country Jam is RaeLynn. Born and raised in Texas, RaeLynn got her break competing in the second season of NBC’s The Voice. Although not the winner of the competition, RaeLynn’s performance garnered the attention of both Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. After choosing to work with Blake Shelton, RaeLynn continued her success with the show, until her highly debated elimination in the quarterfinals. Since her appearance on the show, RaeLynn has released an EP and several singles like the popular song “God Made Girls” while touring with Shelton’s wife Miranda Lambert. She is currently working on the release of her debut album. RaeLynn is a great example of diversity, in both gender and age, of the artists performing at this year’s Country Jam!
The two- day festival will be hosted at the historic Legend Valley Concert Venue and Campground located on Buckeye Lake, just thirty minutes east of downtown Columbus. 2015 will mark the 3rd year that WCOL Country Jam has taken place at the venue. The festival is packed with a multitude of country music acts from classic country, southern rock country, and modern country artists.
General Admission tickets are currently available. There are several camping options available to patrons. Tickets and camping passes are on-sale now and available at www.LegendValleyFestivals.com. Camping passes are sold separately.
The WCOL Country Jam is a country festival that has occurred annually for the last 10 years. In 2013, WCOL and Bluestone Promotions formed a partnership to bring the show to the Legend Valley Music Center, a historic venue located near Buckeye Lake in Thornville, Ohio. Previous years included performers Hank Williams Jr., Dierks Bentley, Gary Allan and Tim McGraw. The venue boasts acres of campgrounds and a large field with great views of the stage. Legend Valley Music Center has functioned as a music venue since the early 1970’s, but has undergone some name changes since that time. LVMC has hosted a multitude of artists including: The Charlie Daniels Band, The Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, Alabama, Journey, and Jimmy Buffett.
WCOL‘s next up and coming country music star is Georgia born Thomas Rhett! His debut album It Goes Like This released at the end of 2013, sold over 200,000 copies and spawned several successful singles such as “Get Me Some of That”, “Something to Do With My Hands”, and the chart topping hit “It Goes Like This”. Following the release and success of his album, Rhett embarked upon a massive tour across the country, stopping in Columbus at The Bluestone in 2013. Rhett was recently nominated for ACM‘s New Artist of the Year, with the awards ceremony taking place in April and has made headlines with his country covers of popular Bruno Mars singles. Rhett returns to Ohio this summer for WCOL‘s Country Jam at Legend Valley to once again rock Ohio!

NASHVILLE, TN – (June 30, 2016) – With his heartfelt single “Holdin’ Her” impacting the sales and singles charts, singer-songwriter Chris Janson continues to add milestones to his career.
Last week he made a visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame in downtown Nashville to get a personal tour of the ACM Gallery exhibit which contains an entire case filled with Janson items. Each piece of memorabilia played a part in his rise to stardom including boots worn since his early days when he first arrived in Nashville and played shows at Tootsie’s, a Bocephus T shirt, his signature Fender harmonica and a guitar he paid $25 for and calls “the best investment I ever made.” It’s a vintage Yamaha guitar signed by Merle Haggard that Janson wrote all of the songs for his debut album “Buy Me A Boat” on and every song he’s had recorded by other artists.
“Being part of this exhibit is a top three musical achievement of my career,” said Janson. “It’s right up there with playing on the Grand Ole Opry and having my songs played on country radio.”
Janson is also the latest celebrity face to don the walls of Nashville’s famed restaurant, the Palm. Janson’s caricature is featured amongst a variety of other musicians, actors, politicians, athletes, executives, regular customers and people of note, as well as classic cartoons. “I eat there a lot,” says Janson. “My go-to is the Power Lunch — Steak, onion strings and a wedge salad. Oh and cheesecake plain.”
In addition to his current single “Holdin” Her,” look for more Janson penned songs on the charts soon as Tim McGraw just announced his next single “That’s How I’ll Always Be” and earlier this year, LoCash’s single “I Love This Life.”

With two No. 1 singles, multiple awards and nominations, plus performances on some of the biggest stages in the world, Mercury Nashville’s Easton Corbin has made a lasting impression on the country music landscape. He is lauded for his traditional country sound, authentic lyrics and mastery of understatement. American Songwriter says, “Easton Corbin has one of those rare, glorious voices that was made—just made—for singing country music.” His self-titled debut album released in 2010 and spawned back-to-back hits “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It;” making him the first country male artist in 17 years to have his first two consecutive singles reach No. 1. In 2012 the Gilchrist County Florida native released his sophomore album, All Over The Road, which included the Top 5 hits “Lovin’ You Is Fun” and “All Over The Road.” Corbin set a career-best debut on Country Airplay with his top 5 hit single, “Baby Be My Love Song,” from his No. 1 debuting album About To Get Real. His latest single, “Are You With Me,” was most added song at country radio the day it was released. “Are You With Me” first appeared on All Over The Road and was such a special song to Corbin he carried it over to About To Get Real in hopes it would be a radio single. Corbin spent 2016 on one of the biggest tours in country music -Carrie Underwood’s The Storyteller Tour. Corbin is currently in the studio working on new music for his fourth studio album.
